When and Why to Use

- In humid, tropical, and desert regions where swimming water often becomes uncomfortably warm, Living Waters can reduce water temperatures to more refreshing and healthy levels by utilizing cooler early morning and evening air.
- The relaxing sound and movement of the adjustable waterfalls create a novel atmosphere and water feature for gatherings, while swimming under the falls is a most refreshing experience. Evening use with colored lighting is exceptionally beautiful and all you hear is the sound of water falling.
- We suggest the ‘Watercannon’ be left in its operating position 24 hours each day in order to provide easy access for the pool manager to operate at will at the flip of a switch. Initially primed, the Watercannon will remain primed and should work on demand.
- We recommend 2-3 hour periods of operation at least twice daily during summer. These short 2-3 hour periods of operation won’t immediately reduce overall water temperatures (in larger pools), but will provide a beneficial water purification and cleansing process while entertaining and relaxing everyone poolside. After these running sessions, water temperature will begin to drop at a rate of about 1 degree per hour. For example, a large Texas club pool outside Dallas leaves their Watercannon on overnight while the facility remains closed and by opening time, water temperatures are reduced from 96 degrees to 82 degrees—and that is exactly what they prefer. Competition swim teams need to have water temperatures between 78 and 82 degrees.
- The NCAA requires a water temperature between 79-81 degrees.
- FINA, the international governing body recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), requires a water temperature between 77-83 degrees.
- Each pool facility has its own unique set of variables affecting pool water temperatures and purity. Geographical location, elevation, humidity, daytime and evening air temperatures, breeze, depth and volume of the pool, and even the color of the painted pool bottom can all be factors.

- As your pool water is being aerated, fresh supplies of oxygen are incorporated and circulated throughout. Immersed solids, such as mucous, hair, flaking skin and other bacterial impurities rise to the surface and are circulated into the filters.
- Year after year, you will recognize the value of this important natural process, especially as we learn more about dangerous warm water transmission of germs, such as the E. coli bacteria and other newly discovered viruses.
- Evaporation is minimal because of our high-volume, large droplet nozzles. However, the degree of water loss due to any evaporation seems minute compared to the many advantages gained.
